Conference “Digitalization in Civil Engineering II. What next?”

On 27th of April was conference of CEEC Research, with participation main representatives of public sector together with directors of leading companies in field of digitalization in civil engineering.

Our company Arch.Design was represented by COO Jakub Kapsa, who spoked about BIM designing and its profits.

Modernization and Extension of Production Hall of SPORTEN

In these days we have finished project of modernization and completion of current producing areal of SPORTEN in Nové Město na Moravě City for KÄSTLE CZ a.s.,  oriented on production of skis   and snowboards for recreational and professional customers.

The aim of the investor is optimalization of production process, investment into new modern automatic machine centre with robotic elements, that requires due to its size and flow of production relocation some current departments into new premises and adding other technological devices for higher production.

Advantages of Cooperation in BIM

Building Information Modeling, shortly BIM, is program providing work with digital model of future buildings including all important information about all construction elements.

Big advantage is possibility of mutual cooperation. Earlier 2D documentations, worked up by form of DWG design, used to be divided into many individual files, which were not connected one to another and there was no way that more than one person could work on same segment.

Palace of Justice in city of Ústí nad Labem has Building Permission

Our company gained in these days Building Permission for one of the most significant buildings in Czech Republic – Palace of Justice in Ústí nad Labem.

We managed in relatively short time – three months after handing over apply for Change of Building Permit Design to Building Authority.

DORNYCH – polyfunctional complex in Brno City

For developer company CRESTYL we are currently working out documentation for Zoning Permit Design for polyfunctional complex DORNYCH, where we closely cooperate with author of architectonical conception, MTDI atelier from Poland.

Complex is located on south of current main train station of Brno city by the Úzká and Dornych streets, on place of business center TESCO, which will be in the first phase of building demolished.

Migrating to BIM is not just about installing new software

During our transition to BIM we came to realise that it is not enough to only install a new piece of software, but also acquire new work practices.

BIM, the Building Information Model, should be seen as a process, one essential part of which – besides the installation of a new software system (solution) – is a certain change in the work practices and habits.

What is BIM and what are its benefits not only for architects

BIM (Building Information Model) is a smart model-based design preparation and administration process

Building Information Modelling facilitates the exchange of information in the process of designing, building and using a building. It allows creating and managing civil construction and utilities projects faster, more economically and with less impact on the environment.
